Saskatoon Insight Meditation Community is growing! We are pleased to share that SIMC is now a registered non-profit corporation in Saskatchewan, with a Board of Directors to guide us. We took this step to support our community’s transition and to ensure strong governance and accountability.
Our vision remains the same: to create a community of inclusivity and belonging, in which we learn, practise, and integrate the Theravada Buddhist teachings of wisdom, compassion, and lovingkindness, in our daily lives and in our communities.
To remain a registered non-profit, we are now inviting friends of SIMC to become formal members. Anyone who supports our vision is welcome to join.
As a member, you will:
- Have voting rights at membership meetings
- Be eligible to serve on the Board and in strategic planning
- Receive updates about Board activities
Memberships will support the work we do to implement our vision. Annual membership of $20 is valid from July 1 to June 30 each year.
Membership is voluntary and is not required to participate in SIMC events.
