We’re looking for a new home!

Update – September 11, 2019

We thank everyone for your wonderful suggestions. We have a team of volunteers looking into the various options. Rather than rushing into a decision, we will spend at least the month of October using the basement studio at McFarland House, 716 Queen St (across from City Hospital).

Please use the entrance off 8th Avenue N. The west entrance is available for anyone who has difficulty with the stairs on the east side. Just knock.
No on-site parking is available. Street parking is available.

If you have other suggestions for locations to consider, feel free to email us at facilities@saskatooninsight.com

We will let everyone know as soon as we have found a permanent home. Until then, we hope to see you at McFarland House!

With every good wish,
Jeanne Corrigal and the Saskatoon Insight Meditation Community

Dear friends,

After 9 years (!) at Hot Yoga on 20th/Pura Vida Yoga Loft, the dear owners have had to make a decision about renting the space, which means that we need to find a new home.

We would love to stay in the 20th Street area, although we know that may not be possible. It would be great to be able to store our chairs and benches on site, and also on our wish list would be wheelchair accessibility, although we know that that is hard to find.

Our budget is a consideration also.

We are sending this out to the whole sangha in hopes that we can get creative together, and that someone might be able to think of a space that would work for us! This could be an exciting new venture for us, together. Perhaps there is a community organization who would like an in-house meditation group that their community could be a part of?

Please contact us with any and all ideas at facilities@saskatooninsight.com

We will continue to meet at Hot Yoga on 20th/Pura Vida Yoga Loft for the month of September (Sep 4, 11, 18, 25). If we haven’t found a new home by then, we will then be moving to McFarland House, 716 Queen St, starting October 2. We will post reminders on our website and Facebook page, and we’ll send an email towards the end of September with an update.

We wish to thank Dallas and Miguel for their many years of support, and express our great gratitude to Deborah Black, at McFarland House, for welcoming us there.

We appreciate your understanding and patience, and your ideas, in this time of change.

With every good wish,
Jeanne Corrigal and the Saskatoon Insight Meditation Community
